What Your Free Transformation Session Gets You

What you'll walk away with, before you spend a dollar.

A Real Behavior Assessment

Kelly reads what your dog is actually doing and why, then tells you straight what it will take to change it.

A Custom Training Plan

A plan built around your dog and your household, matched to the right program: private training, board and train, or service dog work.

The "Why" Behind the Behavior

Understand what is driving the pulling, barking, or anxiety, and how your own handling may be feeding it.

Obedience That Holds Up

Recall, place, and loose-leash walking that hold on the trail, around other dogs, and when visitors come through the door.

Limited sessions open each week. Claim yours before the waitlist.

Training Programs & Services

Your free Transformation Session ends with the right program for your dog, not a one-size-fits-all package.

Private Training

One-on-one sessions built around your dog and your household. Foundation obedience, leash manners, recall, and the handling skills that keep it all working once Kelly goes home.

Board and Train

A structured stay where your dog lives and learns on a trainer's routine. You get a dog with real obedience under its belt, plus the handover sessions that put it in your hands.

Service Dog Training

Task training and public access work for owner-handled service dog teams, with the clarity and consistency a working dog needs from its handler every single day.

Behavior Problems We Solve

Any breed, any age. If your dog's behavior is making walks, visitors, or everyday life stressful, this is what we fix.

Reactivity & Resource Guarding

Barking and lunging at dogs or people, and guarding food, toys, or space, addressed at the root instead of managed forever.

Anxiety & Fearfulness

Nervous, shut down, or over-aroused dogs learn to settle, and you learn the calm, clear handling that keeps them there.

Pulling & Leash Manners

Walks you can actually enjoy, with a dog that stays with you instead of towing you down the sidewalk.

Obedience & Impulse Control

Sit, down, place, and a recall that holds under real-world distraction, because obedience should be a way of life.

Owner & Head Trainer

Meet Kelly, Your Colorado Springs Dog Trainer

Kelly Huddleston is the owner and head trainer at Train Your Human Dog Training, working with dogs and their owners across Northern Colorado Springs. The name is the method: he trains you as much as he trains your dog, because your handling is what makes the results stick.

His approach is straightforward. He reads the dog in front of him, explains what is actually driving the behavior, and builds a plan around that dog and your household, then coaches you through it until it holds in your hands.

From private sessions and foundation obedience to structured board and train stays and full service dog preparation, every dog gets the same standard of work and the same goal: calm, clear, and reliable in the real world.

A dog that understands exactly what you are asking is a dog that can finally relax.

Kelly has been instrumental in helping me rebuild my Standard Poodle’s confidence in the show ring. After a negative experience with another trainer, my dog became extremely anxious whenever her show collar came out. Instead of forcing the issue, Kelly took the time to understand her, working patiently and thoughtfully to make every training session a positive experience.

Showing dogs is a marathon, not a sprint, and I know we still have work ahead of us. But thanks to Kelly’s knowledge, encouragement, and unwavering belief in my dog, we’re making steady progress. He sees her potential and is giving us the tools and confidence to help her become the show dog I know she can be.

If you’re looking for a trainer who is patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in both you and your dog, I can’t recommend Kelly highly enough.

Kelly is amazing! I have a 9 month old Malinois, and Kelly has been working with us since she was 8 weeks old. Thanks to Kelly teaching me how to work with my dog, potty training and basic obedience were a breeze. He’s now working with us on advanced things, like scent detection, and helping me resolve her anxiety (she’s come such a long way!!!). Really grateful we found Kelly, and very appreciative for everything he’s done for Ila!! I highly recommend Kelly for anything and everything dog related, from beginner basic stuff to advanced and specialized to rehab and behavioral issues. Thanks, Kelly!

We had such a great experience working with Kelly for our border collie rescue. We completed six sessions together, and the biggest challenges we were dealing with were pulling on walks, resource guarding, and difficulty following commands.

Kelly took the time to understand our dog and gave us practical, easy-to-follow training techniques that actually worked. Over the course of just six sessions, he taught us how to communicate more effectively with our dog, build better structure and consistency, and gave us the tools to confidently manage behaviors that had been really challenging.

We’ve seen a huge improvement in walks, responsiveness to commands, and overall behavior at home. Kelly was patient, knowledgeable, and encouraging throughout the process. We’re so grateful for everything he taught us and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a skilled and supportive dog trainer

Our dog Boulder was a highly anxious dog due to abuse when he was a puppy, before we got him. Kelly showed us how being firm and taking command actually helped calm him down. Now we have tried and true techniques that allow Boulder to feel safe and trusting around guests and out in public. It was a life changer for Boulder and for us!

We truly owe our success as a service dog team to Kelly & Train Your Human. Working with Kelly helped me understand the “why” behind dog training, not just simply the “how”. My dog learned so quickly and has maintained his obedience with excellence (passing all levels of tests from CGC through PAT!) because we’ve focused on what we learned from Kelly! He’s a firm trainer and teaches us to be firm handlers (but never cruel) because clarity is exactly what our dogs want and need…clarity is kindness! My pup responded so well to Kelly’s guidance and my handling as a result and I’ll be forever grateful.
